hubby will miss me

Hubby went alone to attend the necrological service in cavite tonight. I have an emergency OT work tonight at greenbelt. It's sad when you plan to do things together or to go somewhere together and then end up not doing so. He just called me and said he will miss me..hehe! imagine going to a necrological service and it wouldn't even last until midnight but hearing him said he'll miss me. naks! it melts my heart.

I'm thinking of buying some semi formal clothes now or even just more appropriate clothes like for the party tonight, though of course I'm not there to party. I'm there to work. I don't wanna feel so ugly naman with an office attire that is so casual tapos I'll be mingling with the VIP guests.

I hope I won't be doing much of this because I am not a party person. I have an inferiority complex and most of the time I don't feel I belong. I wonder why my boss wants me to be there though it excites me (a bit) to be able to see some GMA artists..hehe!

Well, i'm going home in a few minutes and then will get ready for the the 8pm call time.

I wish myself again the best.

Shag-Bridal shower and stag party in one

We had fun last Sunday night at J-mie's house. She made a good job (again) in organizing Carmel and Andrew's joint bridal shower and stag party. It's actually a first for all of us because usually we do seperate party for the bride and grrom to be but since we are small group lang and by special requst of the couple we decided to do it together.

I enjoyed the hanger and tissue game which made us (girls) winner. And our price? the boys made all the cleaning after the party.haha! great!

I also love the clothes pin game, where we are not allowed to mention any word that is related to the bride and groom and about the wedding, which is quite hard, i think I had 6 clothespin becuse I keep on calling hubby our term of endearment which happens to be the same of the bride and groom to be.

To our good friend Andrew and Carmel- We wish you all the best on your wedding day!

Do's and Dont's to a CHILDLESS COUPLE

Upon reading this on Mari's blog, I was tempted to post it here too hoping those who knew me will stumble upon this and learn some tips of what not to say. just in case..hehe!

Do's and Dont's to a CHILDLESS COUPLE (in short, wag maging taklesa... it hurts, you know)

* Don't ask a childless person when they are going to have a child. They may be going through the process of trying to conceive but have not yet achieved success. Asking them only reminds them of their problem. They need no extra reminders.

* Don't relate stories of your fertility to them. Hearing "my husband just has to look at me and I get pregnant" is very annoying. While well-meaning, the statement is insensitive.

* Don't give advice such as "just relax," "you are trying too hard" or "take a cruise." All of these very common comments imply that the couple has control of their fertility. Most of the time, these couples have absolutely no control over their fertility. Implying control leads to feelings of failure and guilt when this advice doesn't work.

* Don't offer advice such as sexual timing, position, herbal medications or other totally unproven therapies. There are literally hundreds of old-wife's-tails that, when followed, can drive an infertile patient nearly crazy. Their physician will have covered those natural aspects of their care that may maximize their chances for conception. Once again, please to not imply that they have a sense of control.

* Don't express your derogatory personal opinions regarding insemination procedures, test-tube babies or adoption. Sometimes, these are their only hope for having a child. These are your opinions and uninvited advice is rarely neither desired nor constructive. You are absolutely entitled to your opinion, simply keep it your own. If they ask for your advice, then feel free to state your opinions, but do so in a kind and considerate manner.

* Don't place blame by accusing the couple of exercising too much, eating the wrong foods or drinking alcohol. These couples may already be blaming themselves. Their physician will have already covered the medical and reproductive consequences of obesity, smoking, alcohol and recreation drugs. Support them in the cessation of these activities and minimize the guilt associated with their consumption. The guilt rarely leads to cessation but often moves the individual to increased consumption.

What You Can Say and Do...

* Do provide couples with plenty of emotional support by saying "It must be difficult to go through this" and "I'm here to listen if you need to talk."

* Do remember that men can be just as emotional about the problem, sometimes even more so. They may feel their masculinity is at risk.

* Do understand the couple's need for privacy.

* Do try to understand that if they are your employees, frequent doctor's appointments may be necessary during business hours. Please try to accommodate them as much as possible. Not doing so may also be construed as a form of discrimination and place you at legal risk.

* Do understand why they may not make it to a baby shower or a holiday event. These frequent events can become overwhelming for an infertile couple.

* Do tell the infertile couple that there is hope.

***There are times when it is better to just keep quiet, rather than say anything.

coffee break 1.10

How would you spend a rainy day on a lazy afternoon?

Oh yes, summer is officially over, thought it ended so soon no?. I'm bracing my self for a very wet season due of course to climate change.

But going back to Jan's coffee break question, how would I spend a rainy day lazy afternoon? I would probably stay home, oh yeah who would want to be out on a rainy day? Hehe! Do something with my hubby, watch movies on DVD or play computer games or just read.

I would love to read a good book and have some brewed coffee beside me. I will surely enjoy that lazy afternoon.

Thank God it's Friday

Thank God the work week is over, it’s been a stressful week for me at work. That explains why I don’t have any entries for the past five days, and the internet connections in the office has been acting up too for the past few days..sigh. when it rain it pours talaga.

A good friend of me and hubby is leaving soon for the US, Lester who got married last March is flying to Jacksonville,Florida on Tuesday to finally be with her wife who is now expecting. We’re gonna miss him because he’s been literally living with us since Jerlyn left after the wedding. But am so happy for the two of them na finally together na sila.

Carmel, also a good friend of ours will also leave the center after the wedding, so many people leaving, so many friends going somewhere else.

This last few weeks I’ve been thinking and contemplating on making new friends I know it’s not usual but I feel I don’t have much friends right now, all of the good ones I have lives quite far from where I live and come to think of it I know I haven’t made any new friends for the past years.

Oh well, virtual friends are different, have so many blogging friends but I guess I need someone that is tangible.

Maybe I’m just missing a lot of my old friends…

What punctuation mark are you?

While trying to relax a bit kanina, I browse the blogthings site and got interested with this question and was amazed of what I got. Of course I don't believe a hundred percent of it. Try it and be amazed too!

You Are a Colon

You are very orderly and fact driven.

You aren't concerned much with theories or dreams... only what's true or untrue.

You are brilliant and incredibly learned. Anything you know is well researched.

You like to make lists and sort through things step by step. You aren't subject to whim or emotions.

Your friends see you as a constant source of knowledge and advice.

(But they are a little sick of you being right all of the time!)

You excel in: Leadership positions

You get along best with: The Semi-Colon

Got this meme from dez, I tried this before but never thought of getting it as a tag, It's a shame, if you notice, Cebu is the only province I was able to visit on the South part of the country. So I'm hoping someday I'll be able to visit even not all but most of the province in the Philippines. But still am glad because I have been to most of the provinces in Luzon na pala specially the North.

My Lakbayan grade is C-!

How much of the Philippines have you visited? Find out at Lakbayan!

Show me how much of the Philippines have you travelled? Add your links here:
2) may,
Now I am tagging Mari, Juliana, Mec, Jan, Jown, Nancy and anyone who wants to do this meme! let's see how much of the Philippines have you travelled.

May 05 na pala?

Sorry, have no entry since May 01, I realized I been busy not so much with work but with Harvest Moon..hehe!I spent most of my free time last week-end playing that game and boy I had fun!

As if naman I have lots of free time during week end no? as usual it's jampacked withour usual stuff, the difference lang last Saturday was we had like 8 white visitors from International Teams. They visited "Batang Pagasa" in the Singakamas area, that Saturday hubby and his brother taught the small kids and played with them. It's my first time in that area too. I met a boy named Russell, he is special because he can't walk, he's already 13 years old and he's in this kiddie bike and he looks like only 7 or so years old. He's bubbly though and he played with other kids. The teacher in charge in the area said he has this kind of disease where his bones are brittle and the sad thing is that his sibling who is a girl has that too. I took a photo of him with my brother in law I don’t know if it would be okay to post them though.

So you see, my Saturdays and Sundays are always full.

Well, here am I now, trying to force my self to make an entry and trying to write anything that flashes into mind.

But since I am also at work right now, I should stop blogging and get back to iron ore price googling hehe! I’ll probably be back later to do all the tags. See yah!
